Did you know that the largest dinosaur ever found is the Argentinosaurus?
The largest dinosaurs that ever lived belong to the group of sauropods, which are known for their enormous size and long necks. The largest known dinosaurs from this group are:
Argentinosaurus: This is often considered the largest dinosaur that ever existed. It is estimated that this gigantic sauropod reached a length of about 30-40 meters, a height of around 15 meters (excluding the neck and head), and weighed 70-100 tons.
Patagotitan: Another gigantic sauropod that falls into the same category as Argentinosaurus. Patagotitan is estimated to have been about 37 meters long, 12-15 meters tall (again excluding the neck and head), and weighed approximately 55-77 tons.
Dreadnoughtus: This is one of the most complete gigantic sauropods ever found, making the size estimates more accurate. Dreadnoughtus is estimated to have been about 26 meters long, 8-9 meters tall (once again excluding the neck and head), and weighed 59 tons.
These estimates are based on the fossil remains that have been found, and there is always some uncertainty due to the incomplete nature of most fossil discoveries.
