Did you know…

An elephant cannot jump

Did you know that an elephant is physically unable to jump?

Elephants are one of the few mammals that cannot jump. This is due to their enormous body weight and the way their legs are built. Unlike animals like kangaroos or rabbits, elephants have relatively stiff and upright legs designed to support their weight and enable movement, but not for jumping. Their bones and muscles are more adapted to bearing their massive body than to performing jumping movements. If an elephant could jump, it would break its bones upon landing due to its weight.
